“ Made a Friday night reservation at Pangaea and wow, the place was packed and full of energy. Bright, upbeat crowd, Friday fun. We started with a few splits of Chandon. To eat we had the clam chowder, and a spam sushi roll (forget the exact name but wife had to have it!). For mains, we went with the duck and the tikka masala sea bass. Both were tasty. The fish was buttery and perfectly cooked, and flavorful. The duck was tender and just the right amount of crispy. The clam chowder surprised me. Not overly thick, tons of clams, and great flavor. Dessert was a crème brûlée 2 ways. One was regular and one espresso! Simple but so good. Our waiter deserves a shoutout ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Super friendly, high energy, rocking caps as earrings (iconic), and knew the menu inside and out. Overall, such a fun, vibrant dinner spot right in the heart of Carmel. Great food, great service, great energy. ”

The steak was cooked to perfection, tender and succulent, while the bibimbap with egg brought together a wonderful mix of textures and flavors. “ Overall pretty good. It’s an Asian fusion type restaurant with plenty of options for all. For Carmel by the sea, prices fairly reasonable. We got the kimchi fried rice and a mushroom pasta dish. Both were pretty good. The restaurant is small but the way they have set it up makes it feel big. The staff is super friendly and service speed was good especially for how busy it was. We left full and happy and would definitely go back. ”
